Being a professional carpet cleaner I have gone through numerous vacuums always looking for the best and most technologically advanced on the market.
Just recently I have found an American company that produces their vacuums in the USA and their products have the highest rating in dirt extraction from the CRI, The Carpet and Rug Institute.
Riccar is the brand of vacuum and for the price, I believe that they are the absolute best on the market. The amount of soiling that this vacuum removes in 1 single pass is unsurpassed and makes vacuuming a much more enjoyable and easy task.
The model that I use is the Riccar Brilliance Deluxe. This model is in the $600 price range, has a 7 stage Hepa filtration and also has a lifetime belt warantee.
The lifetime belt warantee is absolutely brilliant on Riccar's part. With ALL of the other vacuums that I have used when cleaning carpet, the belt for the roller brush would wear out within a period of as little as 6 to 7 months. Riccar has placed a steel strand inside of the rubber belt that drives the roller brush which eliminates the need to replace the belt. If any of you have ever replaced a belt, depending upon the model vacuum that you have, it can be a real pain in the you-know-what if the manufacturer has not made for ease of exchange.
Anyway, if you are looking for a new vacuum for your home or business, I HIGHLY recommend the Ricaar Brilliance Deluxe. Plus if your budget is higher or lower than mine of $600, they have models that can accomadate your budget as well.
